Fishing

I have been fishing in the southern suburbs for around 20 years.  I have recently (I use this term lightly, around 10 years ago) I started fishing more and more each summer.  I have noticed one thing about the lakes I visit as each year goes by.  The lake quality gets worse and worse every year.  What I mean by this is the water is more dirty, the weeds grow faster and larger, the green moss residue appears on the lakes earlier in the summer and stays later.  I have talked to several small DNR places about the lake quality only to be told there is nothing they can do to fix them.  I find this extremely hard to believe and it truly is a shame that the youth of today will not be able to enjoy fishing as much as I did.You can see in the two pictures below that the first one is covered in algae and extremely difficult to fish where the 2nd one was taken years ago and is clean.
